Where to begin?

So much has happened in my life since my last blog, I managed to find love, I'm closer than ever to my graduation, I'm still struggling with identity issues and I'm pondering my spirituality.

Ah, I started my New Year of 2013 rather superstitiously I read some where online that if a person wears red underwear than they will find love and passion that year. Well there I was in my red thong as the ball dropped believing with all my might that I was going to be with someone this year and we were going to be in love with each other. I wasn't just participating in a superstition, I just knew that a love would find me.

Exit Strategy

Its been awhile since I last blogged, I honestly have missed writing about the experiences in my life to share with the public. The last post talked about the guy I was dating at that time,  who I will name "Stud muffins" in this blog. Stud Muffins didn't work out all that well, we stop communication after 6 months because we weren't what we were looking for in each other.

I've since then met someone new and I'm excited about the prospects of us being in a relationship. However, a serious relationship brings up questions that I don't have ready answers available. If I were not a conscious person then these questions might not bother me but because I'm aware of my role in life and  where/how I fit into the lives of others I must ponder over these questions.

So the past few weeks maybe months I have been on the quest to find love and snag a relationship... well I know you are wondering how that turned out. I did find someone to "talk" to in other words date. In the black urban community most people call dating "talking" to someone which is just plain stupid, they think if you don't call it dating then you don't have to do dating things or another perspective could be that "talking" is the stage before dating (shrug) .

Letters from mama

You know you never know what God has planned for you...... I am always amazed at what He reveals to me and how it reveals it. Anyway anyone who really knows me knows my story and knows its a miracle that I am among the living today.... That being said with the upcoming holiday Father's Day my eldest daughter Shani  had a dilemma she purchased a gift for her Father and was concerned how I would react.

Wait on Love

People say wait on love, stop looking and when you stop it will come to you. I agree with the statement to wait on love and stop trying to force something with someone that wasn't meant to be, however I keep wondering how exactly am I suppose to stop and wait. Does that mean stop noticing sexy men? I mean I scan my perimeter where ever I go checking to see if there is any sexy fellas around not necessarily to speak to them but  just to look at them  lol (if you haven't noticed I'm boy crazy). Maybe the statement doesn't mean just stop talking to guys or dating altogether but instead SLOW down, don't jump down a man's throat  with "you love him" the first time he calls you (dramatic example), feel him out. Get to know what he is all about don't give your heart away like Sam's club or Costco gives away free samples. With love on my mind I started to investigate this seemingly simple thing.

Imaginary Boyfriend

Lately, I have had the pleasure of having an imaginary boyfriend and he treats me better than any man in the physical form ever has. Just about every morning I talk to him and he asks me "how my day went" and "how well I slept!"
He is interested in me and getting to know me, he likes that I'm silly .... you all know that I can be a down right goofnaticous! We have a such a playful banter and our conversations flow so easily that it doesn't take much effort at all for us to enjoy one another.

with just a moment of my time

I'm really enjoying the time I spend with my paternal siblings, its very rewarding to me in the sense that what I do makes a difference in someone's life. That's all I ever want to do is to make a difference no matter how small it may be.
