Small town thinking

Why is it in small towns the only thing for people to do is have babies and work dead end jobs?? I know everybody has their own thing and everybody circumstances is different but I can't possible understand why it seems to be such a trend.

What's cute about having a baby hanging on your hip at 18 or younger? These girls go out here and make poor decisions and end up hindering their own growth. They end up not living for themselves but for their children. Its fine to go that route but at such a young age, you haven't lived, you haven't even figured yourself out really. Not only have you not lived, you haven't made yourself financial stable!

I can't figure out for the life of me why in this small town of mine no one thinks of going to college. I suppose some people get sucked up in the addiction of making money, but they fail to see that if they went to college they would make even more money for their efforts. Others might not have the support after all so many parents neglect to to properly inform their children of options or even help them pursue their dreams. Down here some people don't dream big and they pass that on to their children which is dismal, if one does not dream they have nothing to reach for. Then their is the money factor, people claim they can't afford it but  I think that their is more than one way to skin a cat.

I'm upset with my young men as well bc they would rather be street pharmacist than go legeit or hustle women to get by in life. I dislike lazy men and Im not saying that this is the case for all young people, im just pointing a few cases that I have come across.

I just wish for everyone to become successful and prosper.

  1. "Ignorance begets ignorance" hold more truth than anyone knows.

Take twins born in your small town and remove one. Take that child and raise it in a suburban middle-class family that values themselves, the individual, and community. Give them a sense of self, self-esteem and dreams for the future. Get them ready for college and looking forward to a bright future.

Then take them to see their twin.

Who is responsible for the differences between the two children? Who gave them the thought processes and values in their heads? Why can one speak English while the other knows only ebonics?

How do we as a society expect this cycle to stop?
